One of the largest rodents around, the Porcupine is sometimes called the "quill pig" due to its needle-sharp natural protection. Porcupines are herbivores, spending lots of time in trees. They eat bark & stems, as well as fruit, leaves and flower buds. This creatures mate for life, and are historically symbols of strength, curiosity and fearlessness.
