Feeding Guide
- Directions For Use As A Dry Powder Supplement: Sav-A-Kid Milk Replacer may be top-dressed or mixed into grain, dry starter feed, or creep feed to encourage feed intake during the weaning period for kids, or to provide supplemental nutrients to stressed or under-conditioned goats. Mix 2 dry ounces (1/2 kitchen cup) into 1 pound of fresh dry feed daily. Discard any unconsumed dry feed each day to help avoid spoilage.
- Mixing Directions For Liquid Feeding: Add 1 level enclosed cup of dry Sav-A-Kid Milk Replacer powder to 1-1/2 pints (3 cups) of warm (115-120°F) water and mix thoroughly with a wire whisk. The enclosed up holds approximately 4 ounces by weight (113 grams) of dry powder, equal in volume to a standard measuring cup. Feed the reconstituted milk replacer solution at about 90-100°F if feeding by bottle. If feeding free choice, chill the mixed milk replacer solution to help prevent over-consumption, and provide fresh solution daily.
