Our 17 yr old Calico has been eating this food for nearly 3 yrs. Truthfully, she is sort of bored with it. But because she has a variety of health problems this is the ONLY dry food she can eat. So we love it!!

Our almost 16 year old absolutely loves this food. We've been struggling for just under a year to find a renal diet he likes and this is the first one he eagerly eats every day. We do add some water to it a couple of times a day so he's getting more fluids. He prefers it dry but will still eat a little soggy. This has been helping with his kidney disease as well as his IBD.

Many reviews state that Royal Canin changed this formula with negative effects on people’s pets. I was hoping my order would be one from the previous/original formula but it wasn’t. The kibble is dark brown with darker spots. Not the gold brown of all Royal Canin kibble. The result on my cat was explosive, watery diarrhea.

My cat was diagnosed with kidney disease so we tried 4 different brands of wet and dry food. This is the first one he ate without throwing up day after day afterward. It's also the most affordable!

The food is expensive since it only comes in 6.6lb. bags but it's worth it. Southern Agriculture is the least expensive place to buy it and one of the few that regularly stock it. So they are my "go to" for this food that keeps the pancreatitis in my two cats in check for the most part. One of them actually put on weight with this food which was amazing since he was down to skin & bones. The only thing I don't like about this food is the packaging. The plastic grip seal at the top of the bag tears off of the bag about 1/2 through using it. Hence the food doesn't stay as fresh and isn't as appetizing to the cats. Royal Canin is aware of the problem but has done nothing to fix it. However, don't let that dissuade you from buying it if you need it.

This is a prescription item, requiring a script from a Vet for approval. Many speciality foods are not flavorful, however both my cats love this. The nutrients to help with kidney disease do help slow the progression. The hydrolyzed protein makes it much easier for my cat to digest the food without the protein causing inflammation to the pancreas. Highly recommended!

The great people at Southern Agriculture are so helpful in getting this multifunctional food to me in a timely manner, I am in Florida.
